Pōhāhā i ka Lani

1972 – Lei Mahiki i ka ua kōkō‘ula.

Mahiki wears a wreath of rainbow-hued rain… and Mahiki sure did wear it well on this day, To be in the splendor of the water and mist forms of akua: the noe of Pōkahi and the ʻohu that wraps the ʻāina like a kīkepa, profound is such beauty!

We had a splendid time with Kūlia mā at Pōhāhā I ka Lani for our lā mālama ʻāina up in the “Rimlands” of Waipiʻo.. Building and fostering our relationship with the land, to our extended communities, and within our hālau.. We will return to the beauty.
